What is welcome to Sydney?
Welcome to Sydney is an exciting event designed for newly arrived LGBTQ+ international students in Sydney. The evening features opportunities to network, enjoy drag performances, and hear from guest speakers representing ACON and other organisations - all aimed at helping you settle into life in Sydney.

We understand that moving to a different country and adapting to a new culture can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to meeting people and making friends.

Worried about not knowing anyone?
Don’t stress!! There will be plenty of others just like you who are new to Sydney PLUS ACON staff and volunteers will keep the night fun and informative through ice breakers and activities. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet others and make new friends!

Time: 5pm - 10pm
Cost: Free! Catering and drinks provided.

Accessibility: The event will be held in the middle bar with stair access only. If there any concerns about this please reach out.

And don’t forget to bring your valid ID, as this an 18+ event!
